• The Peterbilt Model 589 features the MX-13 and X15 engines which can be paired with a lineup of heavy-duty transmissions including the Eaton RT and FR Manual, TX-12/Endurant, TX-18/Endurant XD or Allison 4000/4500/4700
• An enhanced air intake system features 5-inch aluminum tubing and pipe routing for dual air cleaners, resulting in weight savings and mechanical or electronic air restriction sensors options
• The cooling system offers a low-clog radiator core option, as well as power steering and fuel coolers

The new PACCAR TX-12 PRO automated transmission is designed to be versitile and efficient, while also remaining tough and durable. It is engineered to operate with engines that have up to 1,000 lbs.-ft. of torque and a maximum Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) of 70,000 lbs.
