We are thrilled to introduce Jamie Greig, the newest member of our leadership team as our Grande Prairie Service Manager. Bringing a wealth of experience and a journey that is truly inspiring, he has a deep connection to the heartland from his upbringing on a farm in Vulcan, Alberta. His story is a testament to hard work and adaptability, moving from agriculture to instrumentation, then automotive and heavy-duty mechanics, before ascending to leadership roles that honed his management skills.
His path lead him here to Stahl Peterbilt, where he admired the service and longstanding commitment of the team over the years. Now as the manager of the Grand Prairie service team, he is eager to foster growth, support personal and professional goals and lead with empathy, that has been the hallmark of his diverse career.
His greatest career achievement – the Sunset Program – showcases his dedication to mentoring new technicians while supporting senior technicians, ensuring their valuable knowledge is passed to the next generation. The Sunset Program is a program meant for senior technicians that are looking at their next steps in life, but not quite ready to retire. Jamie always felt this trade had harsh consequences as you age, and technicians have trouble keeping up with ever decreasing task times. The sunset program was developed to work with the vast amount of knowledge a senior technician has and pass it along to apprentices, ensuring quality of repair, and growing confidence in new apprentices.
Outside the shop, Jamie is an avid fisherman, taking on challenging journeys to remote fishing spots, hiking with his daughter, and supporting his son's dreams in rodeo. Above all, he treasures Friday nights, dedicated to date night with his wife of 21 years.
